A Day of Classroom Alive
The Week
The week consisted of six days functioning on the block system and one day of rest.
-
Wednesday afternoons were put aside for students to share their research and for peer-mentoring.
-
Sundays were rest days and included a check-in about the past week and the week to come.
-
During the journey there were weeks which were tailored to allowing visitors to join. Open Weeks.
The daily structure functioned on a block system. During the day there were four two hour blocks which were devoted to walking and studying. The average day consisted of an equal split between walking and studying. Throughout the week however, in relationship to students needs and environmental circumstance the number of blocks used for walking or studying in a given day changed.
